PDP Woman Leader Supports Odii for Ebonyi Governorship

Ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Ebonyi State, Mrs. Chinyere Nwele, the Woman Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has mobilized women in Umu Ekumaenyi, Ezza land, to support High Chief Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii as the party's preferred candidate. During a weekend meeting, Nwele praised Odii's vision, capacity, and business experience, asserting that he could effectively reposition the state.

She criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration for failing to address the needs of women and vulnerable groups, citing issues such as hardship, neglect, and abandoned projects. Nwele emphasized the need for political change, stating that the current government lacked the necessary experience and direction.

She outlined Odii's proposed priorities, including road reconstruction, health sector revitalization, and support for farmers and businesses. The meeting concluded with women expressing their support for Odii and the PDP, indicating their readiness to engage in the upcoming political process.
