APC Leaders Predict Victory in Ebonyi Elections

During a campaign rally at the Ishielu Local Government headquarters in Ezillo, Hon. Joseph Nwobasi, representing Ishielu/Ezza North Federal Constituency, and Senator Joseph Obinna Ogba, a former Ebonyi Central Senator, expressed strong confidence in the All Progressives Congress (APC) dominating the local government elections on August 22 and the 2027 general elections in Ebonyi State. Nwobasi pledged 100 percent support for the APC, citing his grassroots interactions as the basis for his confidence.

Ogba, a two-term senator and former PDP state chairman now aligned with the APC, stated that Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru faces no serious challengers and predicted that Ishielu would lead in returning him for a second term. Ogba described the re-election of the incumbent council chairman, Mrs. Peace Agwu, as "non-negotiable" and emphasized the APC's dominance in Ishielu.

He also dismissed potential challenges from PDP aspirant Chief Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, citing divisions within the opposition party.
