Keyamo Accuses Peter Obi of Lying Ahead of 2027 Elections

Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, addressed suggestions that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is overly focused on Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). In a post on his 𝕏 handle, Keyamo asserted that the APC is not obsessed with Obi but is engaged in necessary fact-checking due to what he described as Obi's frequent dishonesty during the 2023 elections.

Keyamo claimed that Obi "got away with lies" in 2023, but emphasized that for the 2027 elections, Nigerians are ready to scrutinize every claim made by Obi. He stated, “When someone lies per second, you also have to fact-check him per second,” indicating that the APC's discussions about Obi are proportional to the number of lies he tells.
