Chinedu Obika Credits Peter Obi for Joining NDC

Hon. Chinedu Obika, a member representing the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, revealed that Peter Obi significantly influenced his decision to join the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

Obika, who was elected on the Labour Party (LP) platform in 2023, spoke to journalists in Abuja on Tuesday. He confirmed his loyalty to Obi and stated that he would not leave the Labour Party unless Obi did, despite the ongoing internal crisis within the LP that has created uncertainty for members and candidates nationwide.

Obika described the leadership crisis within the LP as a factor that has led to his decision, indicating that he believes in the vision and leadership of Obi. He called for greater cooperation among opposition politicians and parties to focus on governance and national development, urging politicians across the APC, LP, and other parties to unite for the common vision of progress in Nigeria.
