Bwala: Obi May Outperform Atiku in 2027 Elections

In an interview with Symphony TV, Daniel Bwala, a special adviser on media and policy for the Nigerian Democratic Congress, expressed concerns regarding the upcoming 2027 general elections. He suggested that Peter Obi, the presidential candidate, might secure more votes than Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President and a key figure in the elections.

Bwala articulated fears about Atiku's prospects, noting that he is currently positioned as a distant fourth in the electoral race. He pointed out that Atiku Abubakar has historically struggled to command votes in the northwest region of Nigeria.

Bwala also mentioned that in the previous 2023 elections, Atiku did not receive backing from any governors, which could impact his chances in the next election cycle.
