Nwebonyi: Igbo Presidency Unlikely in 2027 Elections

Senator Onyekachi Nwebonyi, representing the Ebonyi North Senatorial District, expressed concerns regarding the political prospects for an Igbo candidate in the upcoming 2027 presidential elections. In an interview with Channel Television, he noted that the existing political arrangements do not support an Igbo man’s candidacy.

Nwebonyi referenced the decisions already made by the people of the South East, indicating that they have adjusted their political stance ahead of the next general elections. He predicted that Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the candidate from the All Progressives Congress (APC), would likely secure victory in the presidential race.
