Keyamo: 2027 Election a Coronation for Tinubu

Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, declared during an interview on Channels Television that the 2027 presidential election would be a "coronation" for President Bola Tinubu, who he believes will secure a second term. Keyamo expressed confidence in the Tinubu administration and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), stating he could not foresee where votes for opposition candidate Peter Obi would come from.

He also dismissed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as a significant challenger, referring to him dismissively. Keyamo emphasized that his assertion of a "coronation" was based on demographic calculations rather than arrogance, pointing to recent electoral victories by the APC in regions like Ekiti and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as evidence of the party's strength.

He concluded the interview with a warning to opposition parties, suggesting they would face significant challenges ahead.
