APC Launches Campaign for Ebonyi LG Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi officially launched its campaign for the upcoming Local Government Area elections scheduled for August 22. The campaign began in Ikwo, with party leaders stressing the importance of grassroots mobilization and the collection of Permanent Voter Cards to ensure success across the state's 171 wards and 13 LGAs.

Governor Francis Nwifuru, represented by Deputy Governor Patricia Obila, presented the party's flag to Chairmanship Flagbearer Chidi Nwode, urging party members to unite for total victory. Nwifuru described the candidates as “tested, trusted and marketable” and called for issue-based campaigns to maintain peace.

Former Ebonyi governor Martin Elechi advised against hostility during the campaign, emphasizing respect for citizens' political rights. Speaker of the Ebonyi House of Assembly, Moses Odunwa, and Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency member Chinedu Ogah also encouraged voter participation and support for APC candidates.

APC State Chairman Stanley Emegha expressed gratitude for the local support.
