Kwara APC Forms Reconciliation Committee Ahead of Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State has formed a five-member reconciliation committee to resolve internal disputes following the May 2026 primary elections. The committee, chaired by retired Colonel Abdulwahab Ademola Lawal, includes members Dr.

Oluwatoyin Opawoy, Engin Musa Yeketi, and ACG Ahm Abbass. The initiative aims to mend rifts within the party and prepare for the 2027 general elections.

Lawal described the task as daunting but emphasized the need for unity, urging party members to set aside grievances and work collaboratively. The committee will engage with aggrieved members and stakeholders to identify the root causes of disputes and facilitate amicable resolutions.

They plan to submit a comprehensive report with actionable recommendations to the state executive committee. Lawal extended an olive branch to all party members, encouraging open dialogue and cooperation to maintain the APC's winning streak in Kwara State.
