Rainbow Coalition Begins Talks with Governor Fubara

The reconciliation committee of the Rainbow Coalition, chaired by Magnus Abe, has begun discussions with Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his supporters. This initiative follows a disclosure by Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, during a media chat in Abuja.

Fubara has reportedly set a date for the meeting, which took place at the Government House in Port Harcourt. Key attendees included Dr Samuel Nwanosike, Amb Desmond Akawor, and Kelechi Nwogu, representing Wike's camp, while Fubara's side was represented by Dr Tamunosiki Gogo-Jaja and Kingsley Chinda, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate for the 2027 election.

The meeting was limited to selected committee members, and details regarding its outcomes remain undisclosed. Fubara has expressed his return to his "political family" and has encouraged his supporters to join the Rainbow Coalition and back Chinda for the upcoming elections.

Notable supporters of Fubara, like Chijioke Ihunwo and Dr Darlington Orji, have also indicated their intention to join the coalition.
