Shehu Sani Advocates for Rotational Equity Ahead of 2027

Shehu Sani, a chieftain of the APC and former lawmaker, called on northern political leaders to respect the principle of rotational equity in preparation for the 2027 general elections. He made this statement on Wednesday while responding to endorsements for candidates in the Kaduna Central senatorial district.

Sani stressed the need for fairness and justice to promote national unity and stability. He acknowledged endorsements but insisted that they should not prevent other party members from contesting in the primaries.

Sani highlighted the importance of strong electoral values and the need for credible candidates who can secure victories. He expressed confidence in the electorate's strength in the Kaduna Central senatorial district, where he previously served from 2015 to 2019.

Sani concluded by appreciating the support from party leaders and reaffirming his commitment to democratic values and service delivery.
