Retired Gen. Gajare Seeks Kebbi South Senate Seat in 2027

Retired General Jafar Moham Gajare has officially announced his candidacy for the Kebbi South Senatorial seat, representing the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2027 general elections. Gajare has obtained his nomination form in Abuja and is motivated by a desire to contribute to national development, particularly in tackling insecurity and strengthening the economy.

With over three decades of military service, he believes his experience equips him to address the significant security challenges facing Kebbi State and the nation. Gajare has prioritized legislative support for security reforms and economic development, acknowledging the hardships faced by the people.

He has dismissed claims of internal crises within the Kebbi APC and maintains a cordial relationship with Governor Nasir Idris, asserting that the APC remains firmly in control of the state despite opposition from other political parties, including the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
