SDP to Launch Presidential Campaign Council for 2027

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) is set to unveil its presidential campaign council in preparation for the 2027 general elections, as announced by the party's National Publicity Secretary, Araba Rufus Aiyenigba, during an interview with the Nigerian Tribune in Abuja on Tuesday. Aiyenigba emphasized that the SDP is consulting widely to assemble a strong campaign team that will support its presidential candidate, Prince Adedayo Adewole, in reaching voters across the country.

He assured Nigerians that the SDP aims to be a viable alternative to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). The forthcoming campaign council will include notable individuals from all six geopolitical zones and will be responsible for disseminating the party's manifesto and campaign messages nationwide.

Aiyenigba expressed confidence in the party's ability to conduct a robust campaign, reflecting the expectations associated with Adewole's candidacy, and urged Nigerians to anticipate the SDP's initiatives leading up to the elections.
