Tinubu Engages APC Governors for 2027 Re-election Strategy

On Thursday, President Bola Tinubu convened a meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja with 36 state coordinators of the Renew Hope Ambassador initiative and governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The meeting aimed to mobilize support for Tinubu's anticipated re-election bid in 2027.

During the gathering, Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC national chairman Nentaw Yilwatda were present. Tinubu announced the establishment of the Renew Hope Ambassador initiative on November 25, 2025, appointing Governor Hope Uzodimma as its ambassador.

He reiterated his administration's commitment to addressing national challenges and maintaining democratic principles, including the separation of powers and respect for judicial decisions. Tinubu also criticized opposition parties, asserting that the APC intends to provide a clear alternative to the electorate.

He highlighted his political experience as an asset in navigating the upcoming electoral landscape.
