Momodu Urges Tinubu to Showcase Achievements for 2027

Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), advised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to concentrate on showcasing his administration's achievements ahead of the 2027 presidential election instead of relying on political rhetoric. In an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, Momodu stated that Nigerians would evaluate Tinubu based on his performance in office.

He asserted that Tinubu's re-election would be more feasible if he presents a convincing record of accomplishments. Momodu urged members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to focus on highlighting the administration's achievements rather than attacking political opponents.

He criticized the APC for its tendency to blame previous administrations for the nation's economic and governance challenges, questioning what concrete steps had been taken to improve the lives of Nigerians after over three years in office. Additionally, he commented on Chief Obasanjo's remark regarding Atiku, suggesting that Obasanjo opposes Atiku's presidential ambitions.
