Arewa Youths Demand Tinubu Complete Eight-Year Tenure

The Arewa Youths have issued a statement insisting that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu must complete his eight-year tenure, which will last until May 29, 2031. They cautioned northern politicians against contesting the 2027 presidential election, arguing that such attempts would disrupt national unity and violate the principle of rotational presidency.

The group highlighted the benefits of this arrangement for the northern region and noted that no major southern candidates are expected to disrupt Tinubu's two-term tenure. They expressed support for Tinubu's administration, citing improvements in the economy, security reforms, and military operations against banditry in northern Nigeria.

The Arewa Youths called for enhanced communication between government officials and citizens to strengthen public confidence and awareness of ongoing reforms. They reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Tinubu's re-election bid in the 2027 general elections, emphasizing that national unity should take precedence over regional ambitions.
