Baba-Ahmed Predicts Tinubu's Loss in 2027 Election

Baba-Ahmed, the chairman of the People's Redemption Party (PRP), asserted during a Channels Television programme that if the 2027 presidential election is credible, President Tinubu will lose by 4 PM. He referenced the recent Osun State governorship election, which he claimed demonstrated the vulnerability of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), despite its control over the Federal Government, state governments, and the National Assembly.

Baba-Ahmed noted that the APC was defeated in Osun without a broad opposition coalition, emphasizing that the ruling party's internal issues could lead to similar outcomes at the national level. He criticized the concentration of political power around the presidency and stated that despite Tinubu's support from 31 governors and a majority in the National Assembly, this has not ensured electoral security.

Baba-Ahmed warned against prematurely praising the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) regarding the upcoming election's conduct.
