Oyebanji Confident in Tinubu's 2027 Election Prospects

Ekiti State Governor Oyebanji stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's chances for the 2027 elections are very bright. During a visit to the state house by Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, Oyebanji noted that Tinubu garnered 187,000 votes in the 2022 elections and increased this to 210,000 votes in the subsequent presidential contest.

He projected that the target for the 2027 elections could reach between 600,000 and 700,000 votes, which he deemed achievable. Oyebanji, who recently won a fresh mandate, attributed his victory to divine grace and support from President Tinubu.

He assured that his administration would prioritize the 30-year development plan for Ekiti State and would continue to run an inclusive administration. Oyebanji also mentioned the need for wisdom and advice to ensure the delivery of promises to the people and indicated readiness to implement a state police initiative pending constitutional amendments.
