Oyebanji Targets 700,000 Votes for Tinubu in 2027

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has set a target of securing between 600,000 and 700,000 votes for Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 presidential election. Speaking to newsmen at the state house, Oyebanji expressed confidence in achieving this goal, citing a steady rise in electoral support for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He noted that in the 2022 governorship election, the APC garnered 187,000 votes, which increased to 210,000 in the 2023 presidential election, and he anticipates a further increase to 318,000 votes in the 2026 governorship poll. Oyebanji attributed his electoral success to divine grace and the support of President Tinubu, emphasizing his commitment to inclusive governance.

He has already initiated contact with major opponents to foster cooperation for the development of Ekiti State and has pledged to adhere to the state's 30-year development plan in his administration.
