Tuggar Declares Governorship Ambition for Bauchi 2027

On a Saturday announcement, Tuggar, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, declared his ambition to contest for the governorship of Bauchi State in the upcoming 2027 general elections. He stated that his decision is not motivated by personal gain but aims to enhance the state's development.

Tuggar, who previously represented Gamawa in the House of Representatives, expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for the opportunity to serve as a minister, which he believes has equipped him with a better understanding of governance. He plans to invest in agriculture, livestock, agro-processing, and rural infrastructure to boost the state's economy.

Additionally, Tuggar pledged to address rising insecurity through community policing and dialogue with traditional leaders. Reflecting on his past experience in a previous governorship contest, he acknowledged the lessons learned and emphasized his commitment to building on past achievements while focusing on agricultural and rural development.
