TNN Plans Mega Coalition Ratification Conference in Kano

The New Nigeria (TNN) is organizing a national conference in Kano, scheduled to commence on February 28, 2026, to ratify a proposed mega coalition involving major political parties. This initiative aims to build a unified opposition front to challenge the current political status quo in Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The conference will gather members from TNN's national executive committee, including 36 state chairmen, 774 local government chairmen, and 8,809 ward chairmen. The movement's central agenda includes the ratification of the coalition arrangement and the harmonization of administrative structures at various levels.

This follows negotiations led by a 37-member committee chaired by Prof. Dawud Okanlawon SAN, which recently submitted an interim report outlining a framework for a unified political platform.

TNN has reportedly registered 43 million members nationwide, positioning itself as a significant force in Nigeria's political landscape.
