Tunji-Ojo Aims for 95% Women Support for Tinubu in Ondo

Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior, is spearheading a campaign to secure at least 95% support from women in Ondo State for President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid in the upcoming 2027 general elections. This initiative was disclosed during a stakeholders' meeting in Akure, where Tunji-Ojo emphasized the importance of mobilizing women across the state's 18 local government areas.

The Asiwaju Mandate Group, aligned with the minister, has set a clear target for women's support, aiming to ensure that no woman is left behind in the political process. The group's Director General, Olumuyiwa Asagunla, highlighted the need for grassroots mobilization to regain momentum following recent political challenges.

The meeting also included discussions on strengthening internal cohesion and addressing issues arising from local government congresses, with former Senator Yele Omogunwa urging members to remain loyal and committed to the party's unity.
