Aisha Yesufu Urges Peter Obi's Supporters to Prepare for Conflict

Aisha Yesufu, a chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), called on supporters of the party's 2027 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to prepare for war in light of recent attacks on them. In a video shared on her 𝕏 handle, Yesufu stated that if security agencies are unable to protect citizens, individuals must be ready to defend themselves, as permitted by the constitution.

She asserted that courtesy is ineffective against tyrants and criticized the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), for allegedly resorting to violence instead of presenting results. Yesufu quoted an Enugu gubernatorial candidate, who advised supporters not to initiate attacks but to retaliate if attacked.

She concluded by stating that for peace to prevail, everyone must be prepared for conflict.
