Nationwide Campaign Launched for Igbo Presidency 2027

The Igbo Presidency Project (IPP) has launched a nationwide campaign advocating for an Igbo presidency in the upcoming 2027 general elections. Coordinated by Chinedu Nsofor, the initiative will deploy ten volunteers to every polling unit across Nigeria to promote its message.

The campaign emphasizes the need for political equity and justice, highlighting that the South East has been politically sidelined despite its significant contributions to Nigeria's unity and progress. Nsofor stated that the demand for an Igbo presidency is a legitimate call for justice and equity, essential for national stability.

The campaign will focus on grassroots engagement and peaceful persuasion, adhering to democratic processes. It aims to build nationwide acceptance for an Igbo presidency, stressing that every region must feel represented in power.

The IPP believes that achieving this goal will help reduce long-standing political tensions in the region and promote inclusivity in governance.
