Delta Governor Oborevwori: Igbos to Vote Tinubu in 2027

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori announced that the Igbo community in Delta will support Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election rather than Peter Obi. Speaking on Arise TV, Oborevwori highlighted that the 2023 elections, in which Obi contested under the Labour Party and won Delta State, would not repeat itself.

He mentioned that two key factors would determine the voting behavior of the Igbo community: the need for collaboration among different religious groups and the management of non-indigenous populations in the state. Oborevwori also noted that religious leaders had previously opposed a Muslim-Muslim ticket in the 2023 elections, indicating that the political landscape is influenced by religious dynamics.

He expressed confidence that the Igbo community would rally behind Tinubu, reinforcing the importance of unity and cooperation in future elections.
