Fayose: Wike's Support for APC Limited to Presidency

Ayodele Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State, commented on Nyesom Wike's political stance regarding the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Fayose indicated that Wike, the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, is not supporting the APC beyond the presidency in the upcoming 2027 elections because he aims to maintain the PDP for future endeavors.

This statement followed criticism from the Progressives Governors Forum regarding the Rainbow Coalition in Rivers State, which is a partnership between the PDP and APC under Wike's leadership that has pledged support for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election. During an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Fayose asserted that Wike has not promised support for any candidates beyond the presidential election, reinforcing that Wike's intentions are clear and that he has not concealed his position.
