PDP Sets 2027 Presidential Form at N51 Million

The People's Democratic Party (PDP), with the backing of Nyesom Wike, has announced the costs for its nomination forms ahead of the 2027 general elections. The presidential nomination form is priced at N51 million, while the governorship form is set at N21 million.

Umar Batur, a representative of the faction, disclosed this information to journalists on Wednesday. The party plans to submit its registration to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) by April 21, 2026, with primaries scheduled to begin on April 22.

The nomination fees vary across different positions, with the state house assembly fee at N1 million, house of representatives at N3 million, senate at N5 million, and governorship at N20 million. Sales of forms will commence on April 27 and close on May 4, with a deadline for submission of completed forms by May 9.

The presidential primaries are set for May 12, while the governorship primaries will occur on May 27. The PDP is currently facing internal crises leading to a split into factions.
