Uzodimma: 2027 Elections to Focus on Performance

On Wednesday, during a retreat in Abuja, Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State and a Renew Hope Ambassador, declared that the 2027 elections will be decided based on performance rather than sentiments. He emphasized the necessity of grassroots mobilization to support the government's reform initiatives under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Uzodimma outlined a comprehensive plan to rebuild Nigeria and ensure that citizens understand the long-term benefits of government reforms. He mentioned that the mobilization structure would extend across all six geopolitical zones, 36 states, the Federal Capital Territory, and down to 774 local government areas, ultimately covering 176,846 polling units nationwide.

Uzodimma urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to remain disciplined and committed to service, stressing that the mobilization drive is not politically motivated but aimed at fostering understanding of government policies among citizens. Other officials, including Uba Sani and Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, supported the initiative, highlighting its significance in bridging the gap between government policies and the people.
