Ogun Lawmaker Endorses Yayi for 2027 Governorship

Rashe Kashamu, a lawmaker representing Ijebu North State Constituency in the Ogun State House of Assembly, has endorsed Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, as the most competent candidate to succeed Governor Dapo Abiodun in the upcoming 2027 gubernatorial elections. In a statement issued on Tuesday, Kashamu emphasized that the next governor should be a leader with proven credentials built over years of public service, sound legislative experience, and financial expertise.

He highlighted Adeola's extensive career in public service, which includes his time in the House of Assembly and the Senate, showcasing his consistent leadership and dedication to nation-building. Kashamu pointed out Adeola's professional background as a chartered accountant, which he believes will enhance prudent resource management in Ogun State.

He also expressed confidence in Alhaja Kudirat Abiodun Adegunwa Balogun as the deputy governorship candidate, describing her as an accomplished grassroots politician who would complement Adeola's experience.
