21,452 Applicants Compete for 1,000 Teaching Jobs in Nasarawa

In Nasarawa State, a total of 21,452 applicants are vying for 1,000 rural teaching positions advertised by the Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB). Dr.

Moham Kassim, the Executive Chairman of SUBEB, disclosed in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the recruitment exercise commenced on March 27 and was initially scheduled to end on April 3. However, the deadline has been extended to April 10 due to complaints from qualified applicants who were unable to submit their applications within the original timeframe.

This extension was deemed necessary because many candidates faced difficulties accessing the application portal. Dr.

Kassim urged eligible candidates to take advantage of the extended deadline and reassured that the recruitment process would be transparent, focusing on merit regardless of applicants' backgrounds. He also advised those unwilling to work in rural areas to reconsider applying for these positions.
