Katsina Police Arrest 26 Suspected Miscreants in Operation

On April 14, 2026, the Katsina State Police Command conducted a late-night operation that led to the arrest of 26 suspected miscreants. The operation, carried out by the Special Weapons and Tactics Unit, focused on identified criminal hotspots in Katsina Metropolis.

According to a statement from the command's spokesperson, Abubakar Sadiq, the operation resulted in the apprehension of individuals involved in various criminal activities, including gang membership and public nuisance. The police recovered significant exhibits from the suspects, including live ammunition, swords, two cutlasses, a sharp knife, a stick saw, six stolen mobile phones, dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, and 500 pieces of Exol tablets, along with a pair of military camouflage shirts.

The suspects are set to be charged in court upon the conclusion of the investigation. The Commissioner of Police for Katsina State, Ali Umar Fage, commended the operation's professionalism and dedication, reiterating the command's commitment to combating crime in the state.
