26 Suspected Miscreants Arrested in Katsina Operation

On April 14, 2026, at 0200 hours, the Katsina State Police Command conducted an intelligence-led operation that resulted in the arrest of 26 suspected social miscreants involved in various criminal activities in Katsina metropolis. The operation, coordinated by a SWAT team, targeted identified criminal hideouts and black spots.

During the operation, the police recovered live ammunition, swords, two cutlasses, sharp knives, a stick saw, six stolen mobile phones, dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, and 500 pieces of Exol tablets, along with a pair of military camouflage shirts. The suspects will be charged in court upon the conclusion of investigations.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Ali Umar Fage, commended the professionalism and dedication of the officers involved and reiterated the command's commitment to ongoing efforts against crime. Additionally, on the same day, Governor Alhaji Dikko Radda signed a comprehensive executive order aimed at curbing the rise of miscreant and thug activities across the state, emphasizing a strong legal framework to prevent and control gang-related activities.
