Natasha Osawaru Joins NDC, Leaves PDP for 2027 Elections

Natasha Osawaru, the wife of music star Innoc Idibia, has officially left the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to join the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) as she prepares for the 2027 elections. Osawaru made her announcement on her Instagram page, revealing her intent to contest for a seat in the Edo State House of Assembly, representing the Egor constituency.

This transition was marked by her attendance at the NDC national headquarters in Abuja, where she was accompanied by former Gombe State Deputy Governor John Yoriyo and received by party leaders, including former Bayelsa State Governor Seriake Dickson. At 31 years old, Osawaru aims to focus on youth empowerment, security, and welfare in her campaign materials.

She has publicly declared her support for former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi's presidential ambitions and has called on Nigerians to support her candidacy.
