Gunmen Kill Three Soldiers, Abduct Twelve in Kwara

In a violent incident in Kwara State, three soldiers were killed and twelve civilians abducted during a pre-dawn attack on a security post in Kemaji, Kaiama Local Government Area. The attack occurred around 3 AM on a Monday, leaving several security operatives injured.

The assailants, described as gunmen, stormed the community in large numbers, targeting a joint security formation that included soldiers and forest guards. They managed to escape with motorcycles, ammunition, and an armed gun truck.

Alhaji Sanni Zikki, the village head of Kemaji, confirmed the attack, attributing it to bandits operating from a nearby forest. The Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo, and Hon.

Abubakar Abdullahi, the chairman of Kaiama Local Government Area, were not available for comments at the time of the report. In a separate incident in Plateau State, six people were killed, and eight others injured in two attacks on Sunday night in Barkin Ladi and Riyom local government areas.
