3,000 Elders in Ondo Benefit from Free Medical Outreach

On Wednesday, a free medical outreach organized by Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo benefited no fewer than 3,000 elderly residents across 18 local government areas in Ondo State. The outreach was part of a broader initiative led by Chief Ademola Ijabiyi, who initiated the program to address health challenges among the elderly, particularly those with limited access to medical care due to mobility constraints.

The event, held in Akure, included 500 beneficiaries in its initial phase, expanding to 3,000 participants. Ijabiyi emphasized the importance of supporting the elderly, who often require assistance from younger individuals.

He acknowledged that the outreach is part of a larger political mobilization effort ahead of the 2027 general elections. Mr.

Bukola Oluderu, the assistant secretary of the group, commended the minister for his gesture, highlighting the need for unity within the party amidst ongoing factional reconciliations.
