Over 3,000 Residents Benefit from Oyo Medical Outreach

A medical outreach in Oyo State, organized by Citi Changer Global and Glori Tabernacle Ministries, has benefited over 3,000 residents. The outreach commenced on Friday at Glori Tabernacle Ministries in Bodija, Ibadan North Local Government Area, led by Pharmacist Olaseni Sokunbi.

The initiative aimed to assist vulnerable people across 11 local government councils in Ibadanland. Sokunbi reported a fantastic turnout, with 2,000 prescriptions filled for various types of eyeglasses, and an expectation of 500 more people to receive eye checks.

The outreach involved collaboration with optometrists, pharmacists, and nurses from different universities and hospitals in Ibadan. Notable patients included 11-year-old Israel Akinola and 12-year-old Bless Oluwol, both of whom had been suffering from eye conditions.

The initiative was praised by Matthew Oluwajoba, who emphasized the importance of community support for vulnerable populations.
