36 Students Abducted in Borno School Terror Attack

On a Monday morning, a terrorist attack on Government Day Secondary School in Lassa, Askira Uba Local Government Area, Borno State, resulted in the abduction of 36 students, comprising 11 males and 25 females. The attack, attributed to Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province, occurred around 8:30 AM.

During the incident, a teacher was shot dead for refusing to comply with the attackers, and others sustained severe injuries, necessitating hospitalization. The list of abducted students was compiled through a joint effort by the school administration and distressed families, as confirmed by Hon.

Jagila Jabula, a councillor representing Lassa Ward. The students abducted include individuals such as Wamdai Adamu, Partsi Simon, and Fati Shehu, among others.

This incident marks a significant escalation in the ongoing security crisis in the region.
