Troops Kill 38 ISWAP Terrorists in Military Base Attack

On a Saturday, troops engaged in a decisive operation against ISWAP terrorists attempting a multi-front attack on a Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Northeast Nigeria. Lt.

Col. Sani Uba reported that the troops effectively repelled the assault, leading to the neutralization of 38 terrorists, with eight bodies recovered from the immediate engagement area.

Local human intelligence confirmed an additional 30 terrorist bodies and weapons scattered along the Garin Mallum, Garin Gajer, and Timbuktu Triangle areas. The operation was supported by close air support from the air component of Operation Hadin Kai, enhancing the troops' response capabilities.

Troops recovered seven AK-47 rifles, eight magazines, and four RPG bombs, with no fatalities reported among the personnel, although one was injured by RPG fire. The operation continues along the terrorist withdrawal routes to consolidate gains and maintain security in the region.
