Four Killed in Plateau Attacks Over Three Days

Four individuals were killed in a series of attacks across four communities in Mangu local government area, Plateau State, over three days. The Mwaghavul Youth Movement reported these incidents in a statement issued on Monday, signed by Tubwot Joël, director of Public Affairs, on behalf of president Kyesmang Yusuf.

The attacks occurred in Kikyau, Larkas, Ntul, and Kinat, with the latest incident in Kinat on the night of September 12, 2026, where 29-year-old Katbam Titus was allegedly killed by suspected herders. The group expressed outrage, noting this attack followed a security meeting held by the General Officer Commanding, 3 Division, Nigerian Army, who had urged both Mwaghavul and Fulani leaders to resolve their differences.

Other victims included Geoffrey Gumut, 55, who was beheaded in Kikyau on September 11, and Danjuma Kyesle, 45, who was attacked in Larkas. Pius Dachen, 50, and Zadok Irmiya, 25, were also reported killed in Ntul.
