KWASU Teams Win $43,913 TWAS-UNESCO, N83m NRF Grants

Four research teams from Kwara State University (KWASU) have successfully secured a total of $43,913 in grants from TWAS-UNESCO and N83 million from the National Research Fund (NRF). The team led by Dr.

Bolatito Eunic Olanipekun received the TWAS-UNESCO grant, while three other teams emerged successful in the NRF grant scheme. Dr.

Abdulwahe Musa's team was awarded N37,590,000, Dr. Kehind Peter Alabi's team secured N25,000,000, and Dr.

Khafayat Yetund Olatinwo's team received N20,435,900. Professor Shaykh Luqman Jimoh, the Vice Chancellor of KWASU, congratulated the grant recipients, describing their success as a reflection of the university's support for impactful research and innovation.

He emphasized the importance of building a strong research culture to attract competitive grants and enhance the institution's global visibility.
