Five Family Members Die in Yobe State Auto Crash

On Wednesday, a tragic auto crash in Yobe State resulted in the deaths of five family members, confirmed by Dahiru Musa Talba in a Facebook post. The accident occurred along the busy Damaturu-Maiduguri highway, known for heavy vehicular traffic.

The Yobe State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dungu Abdulkarim, confirmed the fatalities and reported that three other individuals sustained varying degrees of injuries. The injured victims were rushed to the General Hospital in Damaturu for treatment.

The deceased were identified as Hajjagana Dahiru Zayi, Ibrahim Dahiru Zayi, Muhammad Dahiru Zayi, and Hauwa Dahiru Zayi. The incident has been described as devastating, with Talba expressing deep grief over the loss.

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni extended his condolences to the family of the deceased, describing the accident as tragic and urging motorists to exercise caution on the highways to prevent further loss of life.
