Five Dead, 20 Injured in Niger State Road Accident

A tragic road crash occurred early Monday morning at 7:20 AM in Nami Village, Agai Local Government Area, Niger State, resulting in the deaths of five individuals and injuries to 20 others. The incident involved a DAF trailer carrying 600 bags of soybean and a passenger vehicle with 27 male passengers en route from Kano to Lagos.

Eyewitness accounts indicated that the driver lost control of the vehicle due to the deplorable state of the road, leading to the vehicle veering off the road and crashing. The victims were evacuated to a general hospital in Lapai for treatment.
