APC Appoints Six Zonal Coordinators for 2027 Campaign

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed six zonal campaign coordinators for its 2027 presidential campaign, involving key figures from both the executive and legislative branches of the party. Uba Sani, the Governor of Kaduna, will coordinate the campaign in the North-West zone, which includes Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Zamfara, Sokoto, Kebbi, and Jigawa states.

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State, will oversee the South-West zone, recognized for its political and economic significance. Mohammed Umar Bago, the Governor of Niger State, will lead the North-Central zone, which encompasses Abuja and several politically contested states.

Senator Bassey Otu has been appointed for the South-South zone, while Governor Ndubuisi Mbah of Enugu State will coordinate efforts in the South-East, a region traditionally dominated by opposition parties. Finally, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, a former Governor of Borno State, will take charge of the North-East zone.

These appointments reflect the APC's strategy to strengthen its political presence ahead of the upcoming elections.
