Five Terrorists Killed in Army Convoy Ambush in Kebbi

On a Monday, a convoy of the Nigerian Army, commanded by Major General Koughna, was ambushed by the Lakurawa terrorist group near Mayama Hill in Kebbi State. The attack was met with a strong response from the troops, who utilized overwhelming firepower to neutralize five terrorists during a fierce battle.

The Nigerian Army's Sector 2, part of Operation Fansan Yamma, confirmed the successful repulsion of the ambush through a statement signed by the Deputy Director of Army Public Relations for the 8 Division. The statement also highlighted the recovery of cache weapons and intelligence materials from the terrorists.

The Nigerian Army reiterated its commitment to eliminating terrorist activities across Nigeria.
