Nigerians Can Access eVisas to 54 Countries

According to a 2026 global passport evaluation by travel platform eVisas.io, Nigerian passport holders can apply for electronic visas (eVisas) to travel to 54 countries and territories. The countries offering eVisas include the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Singapore, Qatar, Malaysia, Mauritius, Rwanda, and Thailand.

An eVisa allows travelers to apply for and obtain a visa electronically, streamlining the process compared to traditional paper-based applications. The evaluation also revealed that Nigerians can travel to 26 destinations without a visa, while five countries provide visas on arrival.

For the remaining 125 countries, a traditional visa application is required before departure. This information highlights the increasing accessibility of international travel for Nigerian citizens through electronic visa options.
