565 Constables Inducted to Combat Violent Crimes in Kogi

On April 13, 2026, the Kogi State Police Command inducted 565 constables to strengthen their capacity in addressing violent crimes. The training program, which took place at the police command headquarters in Lokoja, was part of a strategic vision initiated by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Olatunji Rilwan Disu.

CP Kankarofi highlighted the importance of continuous training and retraining to improve the professionalism and service delivery of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF). The program aimed to equip officers with the necessary knowledge and skills for safe handling and maintenance of firearms, while instilling principles of professionalism and respect for human rights.

CP Kankarofi commended the dedication and discipline of the participants throughout the training period and urged the graduated constables to remain disciplined and judicious in their use of the knowledge acquired, emphasizing that firearms are entrusted to them solely for the protection of lives and property.
