6 Brigade Arrests Five Suspects in Taraba Security Operation

The 6 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, under the command of Brigadier General Chukwuemeka Michael Akaliro, conducted a security operation in Taraba State, leading to the arrest of five individuals believed to be connected to criminal activities. The operation was initiated after troops were deployed to Forward Operating Base Karim Lamido following reports of armed elements threatening the community.

Upon arrival, the soldiers encountered unidentified gunmen and responded with superior firepower, forcing the attackers to abandon their positions and flee in different directions. The troops successfully apprehended five suspects and recovered items including two motorcycles, a dagger, a machete, assorted charms, gunpowder, and five mobile phones.

Brigadier General Akaliro commended the troops for their professionalism and determination during the operation and reaffirmed the brigade's commitment to maintaining pressure on criminal elements in the area, as directed by the Chief of Army Staff.
