62 kidnap victims regain freedom after NAF airstrike on bandits in Katsina

62 kidnap victims in Katsina regained their freedom after a successful Nigerian Air Force airstrike on bandits in the area. The Katsina State Government confirmed the escape of the victims following a manhunt for the notorious bandit Muhammadu Fulani.

The airstrike targeted a camp located in Jigawa Sawai Danmusa Local Government Area, forcing the bandits to flee and creating an opportunity for the victims to escape. 12 of the escaped victims are currently receiving medical attention at Matazu General Hospital, while 16 are waiting at Army FOB Kaiga Malamai. The victims revealed that 62 people managed to escape and are now safe, with the majority of them being abducted from Sayaya village during a night attack by the Fulani gang.

The state government assured that efforts are ongoing to reunite the rescued victims with their loved ones after completing necessary medical examinations.
