FG reunites 128 rescued kidnap victims with families in Abuja

The Federal Government, through the National Security Adviser, reunited 128 rescued kidnap victims with their families at an office in Abuja. The victims, including men, women, and children, were rescued in two separate operations in Kaura Namoda, Zamfara state.

National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu stated that the victims would receive trauma care support before being resettled in their communities. He commended the security forces for the successful rescue and vowed that the perpetrators would be hunted down and brought to justice.

Adamu Laka, the national coordinator of the National Counter Terrorism Centre, revealed that one rescued child had unfortunately died due to illness, while a premature baby delivered during the operation was currently receiving care in a medical facility.
