Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bashir Usman, stated that the operation was part of intensified efforts to disrupt banditry and its supply chain in the region. Three suspects were intercepted along Illo Lolo Road while traveling on motorcycles towards the forest.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were allegedly attempting to procure food supplies for armed groups hiding in the forest. The identified suspects include Muhammadu Band, Aliyu Abubakar, Muhammadu Aliyu, Haruna Abubakar, Abubakar Lawali, Anm Shehu, and Yahaya Shehu.
The police continue to investigate the suspects' involvement in the recent security breach that led to the deaths of the FRSC personnel.
